I wish more volunteers would read the bio on your groups mission and goals. Some people like to chat up the All Paid system that it was supposed your group was after, not the real goals of total coverage no matter who staffs the trucks. I am a volunteer at Company 4, and taught firefighter classes at Company 7 for the county. I am well aware of the progress and support your organization has given that station, and amazingly to the volunteers...imagine that...not just the paid service. Keep up your great work, and as we enter our new building at Company 4 this year, we hope to benefit by some of the programs you have made come into effect.

Thank you for visiting our web-site.  We appreciate your comments.

“I’ve read the About Us link, but exactly “who” are you?.....Is this website aimed at a specific subdivision?....Are you looking to do away with the Spotsylvania and Chancellor volunteers in lieu of an all-paid staff?”

We are a grass roots movement whose members would like Spotsylvania to attain 24/7 coverage at every fire and rescue station in the county.  We are not limited to any one subdivision.  We do encourage and invite residents from all over the County to join us in our efforts.  We strongly support a combination system of fire and rescue responders.  We believe the best way to have 24/7 coverage is with both career and volunteer fire and rescue staff.  Thank you for writing us.
