Smoked Oyster Cheese Balls

Ingredients:

Two 8-ounce packages of cream cheese at room temperature

One 3¾ ounce can of smoked oysters

One 0.4 ounce package of Hidden Valley Original Ranch dressing mix

1 TBSP of fresh lemon juice

1 heaping TBSP Durkee Famous Sauce

Coating options: cracked black peppe r, chopped green onions, cracker crumbs, bacon bits, chopped pecans, chopped fresh parsley

Directions:

In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, oysters, salad dressing mix, lemon juice and Durkee Famous Sauce with a fork. Refrigerate the mixture until workable (about 30 minutes). Place the cheese mixture on a sheet of waxed paper and shape into balls. Roll balls in one or more of the suggested coatings. The smoked oyster cheese balls do not need to be cooked. Like clam dip, serve as a cold dish.
